Postdoc Positions: We have one postdoc opening that starts immediately. We are looking for candidates in the area of mechanical metamaterials, solid mechanics, mechanical behavior of materials, and experimental mechanics. Please send me your CV if you are interested in this position.
Undergraduate Students: We welcome highly motivated undergraduate students, who may find suitable projects from our interdisciplinary research portfolio ranging from material characterizations, imaging analysis, mechanical testing and analysis, mechanical design of testing devices, etc. We encourage undergraduate students to publish their research results.
Prospective PhD and Master Students: We welcome motivated students to join us.
- Solid background in mechanical properties of materials, composite mechanics
- Experiences in experimental mechanics such as nanoindentation
- Experiences in numerical simulation tools such as Abaqus and Comsol preferred
- Experiences in materials characterizations, such as TEM, EBSD, and micro-CT
- Experiences in material fabrication, such as 3D printing and nano-/micro-particle assembly
